Happy Birthday Sonic! (23 June 2005)

This day in 1991 saw the very
first Sonic the Hedgehog game
hit homes around the world.
A smash hit for the Mega Drive, it was
the beginning of a glorious adventure for
SEGA's spiky little headliner.
Fourteen years down the road and
Sonic has starred in a multitude
of games on just about every major platform,
as well as in his own TV shows and comic books.
It's quite an achievement for a teenager,
and we're sure he'll be making even more
waves before another year's up.
